Deer in Bar Harbor

I went down to Bar Harbor Wednesday to help my son work on his sailboat. While waiting for him to arrive, I took a short path out back and two does and this young buck came withing 30" of me. They seemed to be as curious about me as I was about them. We spent about 15 minutes together.

Kenduskeag Stream in Summer

The Kenduskeag Stream is within walking distance of my house. I've been fishing and swimming here this summer. At other times, I just enjoy walking along the shore. This is in the middle of the city of Bangor, and there is a big canoe race down here every spring. While I enjoyed Arizona and am grateful for my time there, I am happy to be back in Maine.

Move to Maine.

I have spent the last 31 years in Tucson, but have relocated back to Maine where I grew up. I arrived at Bangor in December, and was here in time to experience this blizzard in February. These photos show the house where I am living during the storm which gave us 20" of snow. I have enjoyed my time in Tucson, and will keep my connections to the beautiful state of Arizona, but it feels right to be back home. I am going to continue to call this blog Tidbits from Tucson until I am inspired to change it.
