Reversing Desertification

This is a totally surprising answer to climate change, global warming, and desertification of much of our planet. It also fits in nicely with the GAPS diet. One thing that has bothered me about eating more meat has been the notion that a vegetarian diet is more sustainable for our overpopulated earth. This shows that to be false.

Myofunctional Therapy

Move to Maine.

I have spent the last 31 years in Tucson, but have relocated back to Maine where I grew up. I arrived at Bangor in December, and was here in time to experience this blizzard in February. These photos show the house where I am living during the storm which gave us 20" of snow. I have enjoyed my time in Tucson, and will keep my connections to the beautiful state of Arizona, but it feels right to be back home. I am going to continue to call this blog Tidbits from Tucson until I am inspired to change it.

Earthing

Dr Mercola interviews Dr Stephen Sinatra about grounding or earthing. He has other videos in which he interviews Clint Ober who pioneered research on earthing. Clint is a wonerful, creative person and deserves out gratitude for the work he has done. His videos are slow, and he is not easy to follow unless you are really into the information. Dr Sinatra is probably a better introduction, and a much easier listen.
The basic concept is that we evolved to be electronically connected to the earth, and all of our ancestors lived a grounded life. With modern shoes, building construction, auto design, and so on; we have largely insulated ourselves from our connection with the earth. There are many health benefits to reestablishing our grounded connection to the earth. I encourage you to investigat this further.

Thrive-The Movie

This film leaves out some important information, and I'm not sure they have the solutions; but their analysis of how we are manipulated is the best I have seen. This helps put things into a broader perspective as we head into the elections.

This is a link to a website showing sound as holographic form. Play the notes on the Cyma Piano, and watch the videos for each. The Bible says that God created the Cosmos with the Word/Sound. The Kabala elaborates on that theme with its sacred words/sounds. In the east, they use mantra to create/form reality. Science is just catching up to ancient knowledge. It is cool though. http://www.cymascope.com/cyma_research/musicology.html

Purpose Gives Courage

Perhaps some of you have always had a sense of purpose for your life, but I relate to this because I have lived both sides. I have experienced being lost without purpose, and felt the difference it makes when you find meaning.

If they would include bailing wire, this would about cover everything.

Singapore Architecture

Meet the “supertrees” of Singapore— ranging in height from 8 to 16 stories tall — they aren’t natural at all. But they do collect and generate solar power, collect rainwater, and act as ventilation ducts for plant conservatories beneath them. More info here >> http://bit.ly/MaUEJj
